Perks & Quirks


OVERVIEW

Perks and Quirks are aspects of your Character that sets them apart - special ways in which they can influence the rules in their favor.

  • PERKS: Purely positive ways you can gain a situational gameplay advantage.
  • QUIRKS: Additional ways to manipulate gameplay outcomes, but at a cost to your Character.

SPECIES PERKS AND QUIRKS

When selecting a species, your character receives both the Perk and the Quirk defined by the Species they have selected.

CULTURAL PERKS AND QUIRKS

Cultures present a selection of six Perks and six Quirks. Characters may choose up to three Perks from the list, but for each Perk they choose, they must choose a Quirk which doesn’t correspond to the Perk (Quirks are related to the Perks they’re aligned with on the Perks and Quirks table).

For instance, if you choose the “Khozhn-ah” culture and the “Just” perk, you can choose any Quirk except Vengeful.
