Dalkrian Timeline

Listed below are broad groupings of times during the civilized timeline of Dalkiar, one of the four main landmasses of the primary world. These are primarily for GM use, to determine what time period to set adventures in - or what should change should characters hop between realities or timelines.

THE MADNESS (100-200)

A dimly remembered time, referenced only in the oldest and most obscure history books. For reasons lost to time, there is only conflict and betrayal between the species. Civilization itself is threatened even before it begins, and several species are exterminated entirely.

THÂRIN RISES (200-400)

The Kâlindur establish an alliance with the Vasriel and the Ur; with the aid of Sutharan advisors and Syyn enforcers, the alliance is able to unite and crush remaining opposition from Gochin, Human, and isolated Drakkhozhn factions vying for dominance. As the strongest extant faction, the Kâlindur establish a seat of this new kingdom on Thârin, their island home.

THÂRINDAUR (450 - 1400)

A golden age of learning and cooperation between the species, grudging though it may have been on the part of the losers of the conflict. The Nine are openly worshiped, rune magics are developed amongst sensitives, and the first Kâlindurian Thane, Galidûrn, is an unmatched master of runemal. Seeing himself a just master, Galidûrn allows each species form their own government and select a representative to sit in council at Thârin.

KAL-THÂRINDAR CRUMBLES (1400 - 1470)

The rule and golden age of the Kal-Thârindar lasted nearly a thousand years, but like any kingdom, rot, decay and corruption slowly wound their way into the highest courts, and the Kâlindur fell prey to their own greed, delving deeper and focusing narrowly on themselves to the exclusion of the other species. Beginning with the haughty defiance of the Tenebriel, who barricaded themselves away in the ice-halls of Thurangar, and ending with the quiet desertion of the Kâlindival embassy on Thârin, the support enjoyed by the Kâindurian Thane eroded to nothing, as the Kâlindur indulged their most twisted obsessions in the flames of Thârin and the deeps of Rothdaur.
