Philosophy

What little recorded Dölgöthran philosophy there is comes from the preserved writings of individual Conspirators, and these documents are incredibly rare for the most obvious of reasons - these beings are among the most secretive in the world, and for them to leave material behind for others to consume smacks of intent - of visions left behind specifically for outside observers to consume, and not necessarily any kind of useful truth about them or their Conspiracy.

PILLARS

• SUPREMACY OF THE SPECIES. Most writings found are of this nature, and lay out what appear to be attempts at rational objectivity, tainted, unfortunately, by an all too obviously subjective perspective. Their understanding of genetics and mutation, their ability to act in these realms unlike most other species, and their functional immortality provide justification for herding the “lesser species” for their own best interests - even when such herding requires slavery or murder.
• MASTERY OF WISDOM. A deep understanding of their peculiar condition has resulted in multiple attempts to understand how and why they came to be. As a result, the depths of genetics and the breadth of psyche magic have been their playground, and the lengths to which they have experimented has been justified by their quest for truth.
• SOCIAL MANIPULATION. As caretakers of the lesser beings, it behooves the Conspiracy to nudge these more primitive cultures in ways that will ultimately benefit them (and the Conspiracy) rather than allowing them to exert their free will. To this end, treatises on subverting authority, deep investigations into the so-called “butterfly effect” (with practical examples), and catalogs of winning strategies for waking and successfully indoctrinating Sleepers are common fare.

Philosophy outside of the Inner Circle tends to drift towards more typical discussions, and leans on other Cultural norms - occasionally with some of the Conspiracy’s influence, depending on the intent of the writer.
