Dreamer
DESCRIPTION
A Dreamer is a tragic figure; destined to die at the hands of the Conspiracy, a Dreamer has traded their their status inside the Conspiracy (and, if they’re native Dölgöthros, their functional immortality as well) for a brief flare of heroism, transparency, honesty, and, usually, an attempt to expose the Conspiracy for what it truly is.
Generally only the gravest of transgressions will be considered a betrayal of this magnitude, but even the smallest tasks can result in an individual becoming a Dreamer, if their task were critical enough to a larger plot. Naturally, the Conspiracy never tells its operatives which actions are critical, so the threat of becoming a Dreamer pervades the entirety of the culture.
JOINING
There are only two requirements for becoming a Dreamer: being aware of the Conspiracy, and betraying it. This will, inevitably, draw a death mark on the individual, who will become known not only to the Conspiracy itself, but all of its vast network across the world. With this kind of scrutiny, it is only a matter of time before the individual’s dreams of freedom, bravery, or defiance are put to a sticky end.
Although most Dreamers are native Dölgöthros, a foreign member of the Outer Circle who has defected or betrayed the Conspiracy can become a Dreamer as well under unfortunate circumstances.
