ETZ'NAB, Age of Kings

The tribes have settled, and Man’s influence grows as he tames his world minute by minute and inch by inch. Their holdings grow, and though the land opposes the dominance of the sentient creatures with every inch of its power, their inevitable expansion continues. Heroes are born, magic is discovered, and great nations are formed. The Shadow is content for now to watch… or to advise, gently. Do not be surprised to see them offer their friendship. Do not trust them.

The Age of Kings tracks the expansion of fixed civilizations across the world. Civilizations will expand, colonize, found villages, manors, and outposts as they try to gain territory - and power.

The Epoch can be played in one of two ways:

  • As individuals, caught up in the drama of the conquest of the world, torn between ties to King and country, and to culture and faction.
  • As a 4x conquest game, where each player controls one Kingdom, and each attempts to consolidate the other Kings and territories under their rule.

In either event, the Epoch ends when around 4/5 of the map is claimed by nations (however tenuously).
