Encampments

Adventurers, bandits, enemy skirmishers, hunters and explorers all wind up needing to stay in one place while they’re away from civilization, and if you tread paths less followed, you may well come across their encampments.

The dwelling areas within are temporary at best, usually a small number of tents around a central firepit, and resources are usually scarce, though hunters may have stores of meat and leather, and raiders may have yet to distribute loot from a particularly successful raid.

BACKSTORY

Encampments exist from the Age of Dreams onward.

In the Age of Dreams, they may even be the entirety of a Tribe - these nomadic groups are unlikely to maintain a more permanent home.

BUILDING

VERY simple process here. There’s almost always some kind of central point, generally with a firepit, a few tents, maybe a spot for loot or resources to be held. Plant opponents according to taste and story, and combine all Tiers of enemies to keep things interesting.
