CABAN, Age of the Empires
The great Kingdoms have conquered all but the most remote lands, and now vie with each other for supremacy. The Golden Age begins as, at last, the one greatest civilization emerges from the conflict between sovereign states and leads us into enlightenment. Technology and Magic bring new powers, and man begins to contemplate victory over Nature herself – and possibly even the Immortals, if they are both bold and cautious enough.
The Age of the Empires tracks the struggles between feudal kingdoms forced into contact with each other as one tries to become the dominant power. Wars are commonplace, politics are deadly, and eventually one nation rises as supreme.
This Epoch can be played in one of two ways:
- As individuals, caught up in the drama of the warring Kingdoms where all know the hand of war, and none survive unscathed.
- As a continuation of the prior Age’s 4X-styled game, where the powers are enormous but balanced against each other, and only cunning play will secure victory.
This Epoch ends when 4/5 of the claimed map is itself claimed by a single nation (however tenuously).
